An American Company Our team, from product design to customer support, is still based in West Hollywood, just 10 miles from where it all began. What sets us apart? Our slippers are easy to slip on, machine washable, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Each pair features RockDove's triple-layer insole for maximum comfort. We focus solely on slippers because even the most simple things can have a significant impact on people's lives.

What are your slippers made of? Our slippers are made with synthetic uppers (unless otherwise stated) and either rubber or EVA soles. No animal parts are used in our products.

Located in the fashion capital of the West Coast, we constantly seek inspiration from the latest fabrics and trends. Slippers for Frontline Heroes In 2020, we donated slippers to healthcare workers and first responders who fought against the pandemic. We wanted to provide them with the best comfort for their tired feet after long shifts. We are inspired by their dedication and honored to support them.

Our Story RockDove was created for five birdwatchers from the Los Angeles Audubon Society in 2002. As a shoe repair shop, we protected the feet of adventurers trekking through southern California's mountains and deserts. Over time, our customers requested quality indoor shoes for their trail-weary feet. That Christmas, we handmade five pairs of slippers using a low-cut boot last. We named them RockDove, inspired by the common pigeon seen on the Santa Monica Pier.

The Experiment Most shoe brands in sunny southern California don't pay much attention to slippers. However, we knew how to make comfortable and durable footwear. We experimented with elements from hiking boots, such as mattress memory foam, gel insoles, and anti-shock cushioning. Two months later, we sent out a newsletter about our experiment, and received 350 mail orders. And thus, RockDove slippers were born.

Inspired by Adventure, Made for the Everyday Our legacy of creating comfy footwear for adventure continues. But adventure isn't always about conquering mountains; it's about living your own version of it every day. Our slippers are made for those who are on their feet all day, whether it's outdoors or indoors. We want to provide the most comfortable slippers for everyone.

The Sweet Spot Comfort Level We were one of the first to adopt high-density memory foam in slippers. In 2004, we collaborated with the Long Beach Mattress Company to source their memory foam toppers, which we molded into insoles. We adjusted the foam density and firmness to create the perfect level of comfort: not too soft or too firm. Now, each RockDove slipper features a multilayered foam construction that offers incredible comfort, support, and shock absorption.
